Anandmela at Kansas.

There was a mela held at Kansascity community hall. It is called Anand mela.
It was a very fun filled one.
People belongs to various states of India put stalls at Community hall.
Various types of foods from all over India, Delhi, pani poori.
Bengal varities of sweets.
Orrissa bhav baji
Gujarat dohla
Rajastan Alue matter
Delgu pasarattu
Kanada masal dosai, poori kilangu and uppuma.

sweets,
Tamilnadu Idli, vadai, sambar, venpongal,Mango lessi.

Silk sarees and dress materials.
Wow
It was an enjoyable wholeday.
Not only virindu to eat but also to hear.
There was dance performance by children, music songs by devottees and Yoga demonstration was also there.
There was stall and games for children and face painting to children were also available.
Each and everyone enjoyed the mela.
This is the chance for them to meet each and everyone friends, even relations. I think guys put leave to their kitchen on this day.
Children enjoyed much and it was fun seeing painting in their faces.
After that there was thambola and prizess were given to the winners sponsered by Indian crocery departments.
Where ever we go, we can be happy by seeing each other like this and have fun
This get together given rejuvunation to one and all and I felt very happy watching everything.

Good bye Kansas. I enjoyed the cool weather, sorrounded grass, Neat sorroundings, the Temple, the satsang, the Indian friends and their love towards us.
The very very big shops likw walmart, Price chopper, Wholefoods
and craft shops like Hobbylobby, Michesls, JohAn.
I even gone to a carragesale and enjoyed the way they displayed the unwanted items for them
The Indian stores, wherein things which are available in Kerala, Gujarat, Rasthan, and AndraPredesh.
I exclaimed the citizen here following traffic rules and neat and wide roads.
I had a very good, happy, comforatable life at Kansas.I tasted Italian food, Tai food, maxican food and had a good time over with newely got friends here.
I enjoyed the Gurupoornima, Radhayatra, Independenceday celebaration Anandmela and enjoyed much.
Thanks Kansas. This is the time to Apart with you.

Design in saree pallu.

This is the design i had done for a saree pallu.
here I used goldcolour beads, cutdhana beads, chamki tikkas, crystal and chamkies.

Here I had given a trial of eastern stitch as border and it does looks nice i think.

This is a little embroidary i had done with buttons.

Beads and beads.

This is a little embroidary.
Wherein i had used woven whipped stitch and in between i used raised chain at the centre place in red thread .
At the top portion i used the same raised chain stitch in vertical position below the beads.

Eastern stitch

Here I had given a trial of Eastern stitch.
Which is TAST 2010 week 30.

mirrors and beads.

These are the mirror work i had done and added beads to give enhance look.

This is also a pouch. Made by felt. The centre design is made by wool.and satin ribbon

This is a pouch i made and embroidary had done.  I applied Raised chain stitch here.

Decorated beads are stitched along to emblish.

Both the stitches are woven and whipped wheels. This is the trial for Tast1 week 18.

Nature kolam

My sons friends used to visit our house for Dinner and I am happy preparing our trational southIndian dishes. Everytime i used to put a little kolam in the available place at the entrance. Otherwise all the places here are covered with carpet.
I cannot get varities of flowers(available in market but a little hesistent to ask to purchase flowers. )I put kolam using ricedry flour and decorate it with   flowers on his patio. I fed up with the voilet and rose. And this time I used the yellow flower.

.

On one day I got a little yellow flower and I compensate it with carrots grape.and strawberry.The ricepodi kolam is not visible here.
Here at the little space, little availability poo+veg+fruit the mixed kolam is ready.I called it now Nature kolam. Correct?

Running stitch design

There was a space available in the centre at the wooven trills stitch design felt.
I thought of doing running stitich in it. So i had done whipped running stitch design. But it does not come as per my expectation. I dontknow why such because of the thread count or colour or the design i had choosen.
O.K. Somehow i finished it.

Running stitch.

Really running stitch is a beautiful stitch and we can do a lot of freehand design out of it. This weeks TAST1 week 17 is running stitch.
But for that i triedout some running stitch and variation of running stitches.
those are whipped running, loop running, lase running likewise.
I have to give a trial of a design with running stitch shortly.
Here is the running stitches.

woven trills stich design.

I had triedout woven trills stitch in a felt cloth in this design. I have to complete the centre.
will do it shortly.

wollen flowers.

I found the butterfly is sitting here without flower. So i want to tryout some flowers. I had done some wollen flowers so that the butterfly can suck the nector from it.

We are all very lucky that we are all living in this computer yugam.
Here internet helps us in many ways. One who wants to show cause their cabability can show their skills through videos. The one who wants to learn things can watch the viedos and can learn and try. This not applicable for crafts alone. Even cooking, learning so many new dishes trying it out is a healthy habbit.
I feel lucky to learn things and thanks one who posts their skills in youtube .
In such a way I come cross this butterfly making video in youtube. I am not able to read the language, but seeing the photos make me try it out on hand.
I tried it out and happy to see the result.
This is done by satin ribbon .I attached two colours together and centre part is a bead work.
This is a trial. In feature i can use this in some projects.
