Broken chain stitch

Here comes the broken chain stitch.
The green centre part is the broken chain stitch.
The  blue colour design is buttonhole stitch and the outer one is shaded buttonhole stitch with knot. This is also from Lakshmis blog.
This I learnt from Lakshmis blog.http://sadalas.blogspot.com/2010/04/shaded-buttonhole-stitch-with-knots.html

Heart shaped silk cushion.

Here i come with my heart shaped silk cushion. In this regard i had already triedout the squre, round and long shaped silk cushions. And those involved smokinf stitches.
Now here the heart shaped one is very very easy.
Prepare one template of heart shaped in a paper according to your requirement. Then cut two pieces of hearts in the silk cloth.
Take measurement of the outline of the heart and cut 5 inches width cloth into 3 times of the heart outline. If you not able to get that much long just join the pieces no problem.
Then mark a round shape in the 5inches piece leaving a gap of 3 inches each of the round. Now stitch a running stitch to the full round and tie the thread to tight and you will get a frill shape. Do like wise all over the long cloth. Do it at the wrong side.
This picture shows how the frills will be in the right side.
Now join the two heart shaped cloth with this frilled long cloth  leaving some space to fill the cotton.and you will get a heart bag.
Fill the bag with cotton. Here a little more cotton than normally  is require, since you can get the bulge shape of heart.
after filled up join the open space. Always leave the centre portion of the heart to fill. While you start joining, start with the centre portion. Now to hide the join in the centre portion decorate with some satin ribbon or artificial flower like wise.
Now your heart shaped silk cushion is ready. Since it is plain in front portion, decoration is your imagination.
Here i decorated with some frilled zari work.Embroidary work, silk painting can be also done. But before you join and fill the cotton.
